The government adopted the Reform Agenda, which defines a set of reforms that Montenegro must implement to receive money from the European Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
Minister of European Affairs, Maida Gorčević said at the press conference that the adoption of the agenda is only the initial step.
“Next is the implementation and monitoring and the tranches that we will receive every six months concerning what has been achieved. It will now be necessary to form a coordinating body to monitor the implementation of the reforms and inform the European Commission about the results,” said Gorčević.
She added that the agenda should be adopted by the European Commission at the end of September, and Montenegro should receive the first tranche of around 29 million euros at the end of the year.
She reminded that Montenegro will receive a total of 383.5 million euros as part of the Growth Plan. Of that, 110 million will be non-refundable, and the rest in favorable loans.
