PM Đukanović, DPM Lajčak: Slovakia to assist Montenegro through wide range of NATO, EU-related activities

Prime Minister Milo Đukanović started yesterday late afternonn his visit to Slovakia and had a working dinner with Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajcak.

In a very open and friendly atmosphere, the two officials discussed all the important issues in the context of expectations of the NATO membership invitation by the end of the year and further progress in the negotiation process with the EU.

“Slovakia will continue to strongly support Montenegro on its integration path through a wide range of specific activities related to the Alliance, EU and assistance in reforms, especially when it comes to the requirements agenda in the immediate period,” Deputy Prime Minister Miroslav Lajcak.

The meeting also addressed boosting bilateral cooperation within the built trust and friendship that characterise relations between the two countries. Prime minister Đukanović will discuss that matter with his host Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Slovakia.
