IPA 2020

The financial agreement for the Annual Action Program for Montenegro for 2020 was signed on August 28, 2020. The total value of the program is 31.5 million euros, of which 29.1 million euros is the contribution of the Union to this program, while the co-financing obligation of Montenegro is 2.4 million euros.

Support is focused on four sectors, namely:

  • Within the Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights sector, the EU Rule of Law Program (EURoL III) will be financed in the amount of 2.5 million euros without the obligation of national co-financing.
  • Within the Competitiveness and Innovations, Agriculture and Rural Development sector, an action EU to strengthen the competitiveness and innovative capacities of the economic sector in Montenegro will be financed with 4.35 million euros, of which 4 million euros are EU grants, and Montenegro’s co-financing is 0. 35 million euros.
  • Within the Education, employment and social policies sector, funds have been allocated for the action EU for smart and inclusive growth – employment and social inclusion 2020 in the amount of 14.6 million euros, of which 13.5 million euros are EU grants, while the national co-financing is 1.1 million euros.
  • The amount of 6.9 million euros is intended through direct budget support for the implementation of the action Support to Montenegro in overcoming the crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus.
