The financial agreement for the Annual Action Program for Montenegro for 2018 was signed on December 2 2019, and the amendment was signed on August 28 2020. The total amount of the allocation is 49.33 million euros, of which 47.27 million euros is the EU contribution and 2.06 million euros is national co-financing. The program supports the following sectors and actions:
- The Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights in the total amount of 13.5 million euros, through the action Support to the sector Rule of law and Fundamental Rights.
- Education, employment and social policy, through the action Strengthening the quality and access to health and social services worth 17.5 million euros.
- Democracy and governance in the amount of 6.1 million euros, which includes the Instrument for European Integration in the amount of 3.1 million euros, Support for Montenegro’s participation in EU programs in the amount of 2.1 million euros, and the Instrument for Civil Society in the amount of 1 million euros.
- Agriculture and rural development, i.e. support to Ipard in the amount of 7 million euros.
