IPA 2017

The financial agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the European Commission on the Annual Action Program for Montenegro for 2017 for direct budget support for the implementation of the Public Administration Reform Strategy (part II) was signed on January 16 2018, while the amendment to the Financial Agreement was signed on February 24 and November 30 2020. Financial agreement to support the transport sector (part I) was signed on December 17 2018.

The total value of the actions proposed through both parts of the program is 48.12 million euros, of which 44.55 million euros is the EU contribution and 3.57 million euros is national co-financing.

 

The program supports the following actions:

In the Transport sector, the action Support to the Transport sector in Montenegro (EU contribution 9.6 million euros).

In the Democracy and Governance sector, the allocation of sectoral budget support for the implementation of the Public Administration Reform Strategy in the total amount of 15 million euros was approved.

In the Agriculture and Rural Development sector, support for Ipard II in the amount of 6 million euros was approved.

In the sector Education, employment and social policy, Sectoral operational program for education, employment and social policy 2015-2017 in the amount of 5.4 million euros was approved.

The allocation for the refugee crisis amounts to 3.2 million euros.
